DXG-A85V

DXG has been producing some of the most amazing video cameras the past several years, introducing models after models to keep their customers happy with improvements. Although DXG itself may not be as gigantic as other top manufacturers such as Sony and Canon, it is certainly one of the best in the market segment. The new DXG-A85V is no different, featuring top capabilities that will blow your mind for sure.

The DXG-A85V comes with full-HD 1080p video recording capability. You can expect videos to be recorded at the highest quality indeed, because the imaging sensor used in the DXG-A85V is one of the best in its class. Camera controls can be accessed using the camcorder’s 3-inch touchscreen.

Although the DXG-A85V is more than capable of capturing 1080p video recordings at 30fps, it is also interesting to explore the camcorder’s ability to record 720p video files at 60fps. You can have those special effects and explore a completely different world of HD video with this higher frame rate.

If you want to indulge that professional videographer in you, you can also access tons of manual controls available on the DXG-A85V. You can use manual focus as well as adjust the exposure according to your preferences; these features are perfect if you are an avid enthusiast. Activate the Dual Capture Mode and you can capture both video and still images simultaneously.

To make it even better, the DXG-A85V is available for less than £260. With all the features it has to offer, the DXG-A85V is certainly worth every penny.

iHome iA100

iHome iA100

I’m going to start this article by simply introducing you to the new iHome iA100, a simple audio system designed to work with iPhone, iPod, and iPad. For those of you who instantly think that this is yet another iPhone dock, you are not entirely mistaken. However, we have to acknowledge that the iHome iA100 does offer a lot of interesting features; we are going to take a look at them in just a second.

First of all, the iHome iA100 works perfectly with Apple’s iPad. There no need to purchase a separate iPad adapter or additional devices, since all you need to do is adjust the holder to support your iPad perfectly.

The iHome iA100 also comes with built-in Bongiovi Acoustics DSP and 4 highly capable speakers. Audio quality? Quite good for a device in its class. You may not be able to compare it with the high-end audio systems such as the Harman Kardon Go + Play – which in fact costs almost twice the iHome iA100 – but it is still substantially above average in every way.

For some private tunes, you can also connect a stereo Bluetooth headset via A2DP. If you want to listen to some news or interesting broadcasts, simply turn on the built-in FM Radio and you can tune in to your favorite channel right away. The iHome iA100 also functions as an alarm; yes, you can use the tunes you store in your iPhone as the alarm tone or simply order the iA100 to turn on the FM radio instead.
