What can Google Plus offer that Facebook can’t?

Google has excelled once again entered into the social networking market, this time however the internet giant brings with it an array of new and impressive strategies.

Google’s social networking platform, Google Plus has only just been released and offers an ‘invite only’ service. This aspect of Google Plus is certainly one of its stronger marketing tools as it intensifies the users urge to join whilst using the beta testing system with a limited number of users only.

People will receive an invite to join just like you would do on any other social networking site, it is then up to the user to pursue this further if they wish to do so.

Google already has a high status and is said to be really smart when it comes to social networking sites. Does it however match up to the status of the social networking giant Facebook?

It certainly gives users the option to enter into a virtual world with an environment they desire. Google is also a lot bigger than Facebook in regards to the advertisement sector, which is why many businesses may prefer this platform.

So why does Google want to get into the social networking side of things? The main reason is that search engines don’t have the ability to expand their user base on the large scale of a social networking site. People tend to use Google as their ‘go to’ option if they need to search for something on the net quickly, however this is a quick and hassle free process and once the user has found what he or she is looking for they no longer require the help of the Google search engine.

Facebook however is able to draw people in for longer and the longer people stay on the site, the more money that platform will make! This is why Google have launched the social networking site!

Many will prefer the new Google social network due to the privacy, the limit on annoying applications, the fact that it offers all the features that Facebook offers, it is simple and hassle free to use and it uses Google chat, which is said to be an easy to use application that simply gets the message across!
